'American Idol' winner Kris Allen talks kissing, Adam Lambert

Slow down and re-read that headline: "American Idol" winner Kris Allen hasn't suddenly decided to sing a duet with Adam Lambert.

But on the night Lambert treated American Music Awards audiences to a raunchy show, Allen did recount his own public kissing fiasco.

"This woman was taking a picture with me, but right before the picture was taken she grabbed my face and stuck her tongue down my throat," he told FOX News just before the AMAs ceremony.

And what of "Idol" runner-up Lambert?

"Both of us are going to be compared to each other for awhile, probably until the next 'Idol' happens," Allen said. "Adam is definitely out there and he does his thing with electro-dance rock music and I do my thing which is laid back chill pop music which is cool."

He won't have much longer to wait: The ninth season premieres Jan. 12, 2010.

They will always give a pc answer. Maybe if the question is asked in a more direct way they will say something more interesting. He'd better come up with some sort of gimmick or scadal to be relevant. That's how show business is.
