'American Idol': Ace Young has chills, they're multiplyin'

"American Idol" finalist Ace Young joins fellow season 5 alum Taylor Hicks in the National Touring Company of "Grease."

Taylor Hicks has been playing the Teen Angel in "Grease" for over a year and now Ace Young will join him as lead Danny Zuko, beginning on Dec. 1, according to Playbill. 

The tour kicks off with Young as Danny in Charlotte, NC, with dates scheduled through June 13, 2010. No word as to how long Ace Young will be with the tour.

Young and Hicks are hardly the first "Idols" to go Broadway. Syesha Mercado has been in "Dreamgirls," Fantastia Barrino has appeared in the musical version of "The Color Purple" and most recently Diana DeGarmo was cast in an industry reading of "Carrie."
