Chris Daughtry. Kelly Clarkson. Carrie Underwood. Adam Lambert. Two of these four are not like the others.That's right, Chris Daughtry and Adam Lambert didn't actually win "American Idol." But all four of the "Idol" alum got to perform at the 2009 American Music Awards.
Glambert even got the pimp slot, closing out the show right after it was announced that Taylor Swift had managed to pull an upset and beat Michael Jackson for Best Artist.
2008's "Idol" winner, Kris Allen, attended and got to come on stage with Demi Lovato though, so there's that.

Kelly! No one comes close. It was mature and sincere and just good music all throughout.
Adam Lambert is a gay guy that has surely went way beyond the borders of what happened to Janet Jackson at the Superbowl but I don’t hear a bunch of crap about his performance.
Kelly was the best. Man she can sing!!! Daughtry was good but nothing special. I didn't know Carrie was a stripper. And Adam was good too.
