TV Treats: 'Castle' and 'Vampire Diaries' deliver the goods
Sure, it's almost November, which means we're faced with an embarassment of riches now that the television season is in full swing.
There are days we're not sure whether we're supposed to think we can dance, sing mashups or solve murder most foul.
If you're letting "Castle" or "The Vampire Diaries" languish on your DVR, though, you missed two of the week's best scenes.
In the first, Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion) tries on a Halloween costume straight out of Fillion's "Firefly" days:

The nod to his former series was indeed a hoot. Nice to see his pistol-twirling skills are still intact. Now they just need a cameo with Summer Glau playing some strange chick named River, and the season will be complete.
Oh, and Rena's inevitable slams against both Nathan Fillion and Summer Glau are not welcome.
Love Castle! Rob Bowman is going to an X-Files charity event on 11/14 in Beverly Hills. People are allowed to ask about anything, and I'm pretty sure he's going to get a whole host of Castle questions. :)

Castle would be totally mediocre without Fillion--he really makes the show. It's nice to see the creators give a nod to his cult-classic past role.
