jasonmesnick_mollymalaney_290.jpgJason Mesnick, the most notorious bachelor in "The Bachelor" history (for now), is engaged ... to the second woman of his dreams.

Mesnick popped the question  and was accepted by Molly Malaney in New Zealand Tuesday night, reports People.

For those unfamiliar with Mesnick's reality show shenanigans, he was a rejected suitor on the DeAnna Pappas version of "The Bachelorette" and subsequently became "The Bachelor." In the finale, he chose and even proposed to Melissa Rycroft.

Unfortunately, he had a change of heart before the "After the Final Rose" reunion was filmed, and gave Rycroft the boot on national TV and chose Malaney instead.

So why New Zealand? That's where Mesnick first proposed to Rycroft. Apparently this proposal was supposed to be a do-over, but we feel it's kind of tacky to choose the same location. Why not a new place with new memories untainted by a proposal to another woman?

Mesnick in Seattle and Malaney in Milwaukee have maintained a long-distance relationship.

As for the scorned woman, Rycroft is currently engaged. Yea! She also has swine flu. Boo!

Do you think Jason and Molly will actually make it work? Do you WANT these two to make it work?

You the man now dog!

meh. they deserve each other so good for them! it will probably work because after the show i can't imagine anyone else in their right minds would date either of them.

wow, that's sooooooo exciting. NOT. :)

Molly Malaney could have done a lot better

I believe Jason should have chosen here originally. Although Melissa was cute, she did not fit. I'm happy for Jason and Molly and I do think they'll make it.
I also think people are harsh to judge others so quickly. I say give them a chance.

By the way, I am curious what happened to Mary that was rejected by Bob Geine and then she became a bacherette and chose her man. They were suposed to get married on Valentines Day this year. Did it happen?

I would also like to know what happened to the bacherette that was also rejected by Bob Genine. She chose her man, and I've never heard what has happened to her. I believe she should have chosen Matthew. But, I hope she and her chosen one are still together.

Very happy for Jason & Molly they are in love and I am happy for them!
