Steve Carell plays through 'Missing Links'
Steve Carell is taking a quick break from "The Office" to squeeze in a round of golf. Carell, who plays Michael Scott on the NBC sitcom, will star in and produce "Missing Links," according to the trades.
ESPN writer Rick Reilly's 1996 novel follows a group of friends at run-down -- and that's putting it generously -- Ponkaquogue Municipal Course and Deli in Boston. Said friends, apparently not masters of observation, realize "Ponky" is located right next door to a beautiful upscale golf course.
What other choice to they have but to sneak in? Hijinks undoubtedly ensue.
Warner Bros. will produce. No word yet on when production will begin, though expect it to be scheduled around Carell's day job.
