samjones_290.jpgFormer "Smallville" regular Sam Jones III has been arrested in a federal drug sting and accused of conspiracy to deal thousands of oxycodone pills.

Jones was taken into custody Wednesday morning, TMZ reports. The Drug Enforcement Agency says Jones, who also had a recurring part on "ER" and appeared in the movies "Glory Road" and "Home of the Brave," was a "co-conspirator" in several major drug deals in 2008.

The DEA claims in court documents that Jones and several others conspired to buy and distribute more than 10,000 oxycodone pills. Jones is described as the "Hollywood connection" to the ring, whatever that means.

Jones has been charged with conspiracy to possess illegal drugs with intent to distribute, which carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

HAHAHA maybe he was mad that he couldnt be superman!

If he does get convicted it won't be club fed like everyone thinks. There are different stages to federal prison and drug dealers don't get special treatment.

Well I'm guessing "Hollywood connection" would mean he had Hollywood people he could sell oxycodone.BAP BAP boom

what an idiot. come on man you had it made and you blew it over some dope. you blew it over garbage. people die from that drug every day. why would you even be a part of something like that. hope you enjoy prison. idiot!

Is this connected to the Big Brother guy? I'd never even heard of this drug until that story broke a day or so ago.

There is the Good, the bad, and the ugly...All crimes are not done by criminals...Lets All hope this is lessoned learned.

heck alex - have you been living under a rock to have never have heard of oxys before.

Lets think about it real hard Rick Porter on earth what could "hollywood connection" mean???? Does Zap2it.com hire just anybody to write their articles?

Sorry to hear about Mr. Jones's troubled life. Drug alcohol treatment will hopefully do him some good.

With him being as young as he is, he can still seek help and live a life of sobriety. Hope for the best with him.
