'Avatar': New pictures from James Cameron's sci-fi epic

A new three-and-a-half minute trailer of James Cameron's "Avatar" was released in theaters over the weekend, so you know that bad boy was online post-haste ... until the 20th Century Fox studio watchdogs nixed all the leaked clips.

Alas, the trailer won't be available online until October 29. But until then, check out some new pics from the 3D flick set to hit theaters and IMAX 3D on December 18th.

it looks interesting but the only trailer i saw made no sense, its james cameron so hopefully there will be a level of quality. If its a stupid movie it will be pretty

looks a lot better than the crap on ABC.

it looks pretty cool, but for being in production for like 10 years and being as expensive as it was i would think there would be a lot more promotion going on by now, i've only seen one preview in theaters and that was a couple months ago,

There's been two trailers now so far, Daniel Patrick

The new trailer has me worried. With all the epic music, Lord-of-the-Rings-style battles, and Lord-of-the-Rings style overly-serious dialogue, this reminds me of a fantasy more than a Sci-Fi, which Cameron was advertising it as being. I fear the worst-- that this is just another Lord of the Rings wannabe.

I don't know. For me, the story is going to have to be the thing, because back when Cameron announced this film such CGI was indeed groundbreaking, but he's been beaten to the punch by photo-real CG productions like Beowulf and I've seen more realistic CG animation in videogame cutscenes. I fear he might have waited too long before putting this out.

This looks better!
