'NCIS: Los Angeles,' 'Good Wife' get full season orders

llcoolj_ncisla_01_290.jpg"NCIS: Los Angeles" and "The Good Wife" are getting rewarded for being the two highest-rated new shows for the 2009-2010 TV season.

CBS announced Wednesday, Oct. 7 that it has ordered up full seasons of the two dramas.

The spinoff "NCIS: Los Angeles" is the top new program of the season, averaging 17.4 million viewers, despite losing a bit of its audience to "The Biggest Loser" on Tuesday (Oct. 6). It also boasted the second-highest ratings among the 18-49 adult demo out of the new shows, just after "The Cleveland Show."

"NCIS: LA" stars Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J as partners in the special projects group of the NCIS force. Linda Hunt, Peter Cambor, Adam Jamal Craig and Daniela Ruah also co-star.

Julianna Margulies' return to the series drama has paid off as well. "The Good Wife" is the No. 2 new show of the season, averaging 13.69 million. It stars Margulies as Alicia Florrick, the wife of a politician who's resigned after a political scandal, who tries to pick up the pieces by becoming a junior associate at a law firm.

The most boring show on tv, the good wife, gets picked up yet people are not watching smart fun shows such as Dollhouse...

I love The Good Wife...and Dollhouse...

I don't care for "The Good Wife" but "Dollhouse" is a dreadful bore.

THE GOOD WIFE is relatively entertaining, considering it's the only program I can stomach on Tuesdays. NCIS: LA is just awful. I tried to watch THE FORGOTTEN, but it was beyond dreadful. Tuesday is my night to catch up with DVR'd shows from other nights.

TV's greatest shows right now are the Fox dramas (DOLLHOUSE and FRINGE included), and it's very unfortunate that Fox isn't airing them at better times.

I attempted to sit through an episode of Dollhouse. What a mess. It needs major retooling. Jerry Bruckheimer shows are all exactly the same. They are shows created for people who can't think for themselves and need every detail explained in full as it's happening and all loose ends tied up neatly at the end. So, no thanks to either NCIS, any of the three CSI's, Cold Case or The Forgotten. The Good Wife just doesn't appeal to me at all. But congrats to both shows just the same.

Dollhouse is good? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? It sucks. It's badly written, badly acted. Whedon really dropped the ball on this on. It should be casted off the TV island.

This discussion just goes to show why we need a variety of programs. I've never seen Dollhouse; it didn't interest me when it premiered, nor does it now. NCIS is my cup of tea; Linda Hunt is a superb addition, as far as I am concerned. As usual the networks have decided to put shows which attract large audiences on at the same time in order to knock the opposition off. How stupid is that? Rather than have a huge hit on another night against a lesser show, they opt to go head to head and sometimes sink both shows.

I love NCIS but just can't get interested in NCIS LA. The chraracters are just not as likeable or as enjoyable to watch.

I love Joss Whedon and wanted to love Dollhouse, but it is just boring. I took it off my DVR list...

Like to make a comment regarding the tool that said Dollhouse is a smart show. By far one of the most dumbed down shows i've seen in ages. Zero acting talent, zero writing talent, absolute garbage of a series. The good wife has a good actress anchoring the series and the writing improves week to week.
