Meredith Vieira's shocking past revealed!

OK, we're teasing. As far as we know, "Today" show co-host Meredith Vieira doesn't have any major skeletons in her closet. That's not, however, what Jay Leno would have you believe. During his show Tuesday night, Leno noted that Vieira had done a "Today" piece that showed clips from her TV career, which stretches back to a stint as a local news reporter in Rhode Island in the 1970s.
Pretty innocuous stuff -- until Leno inserted a faked image of Vieira's head on a "Naked News" announcer's body. The Leno bit itself was just OK, but the reaction of Vieira and her "Today" cohorts Al Roker and Ann Curry is priceless. Points to Roker, too, for his zinger about Vieira's "mentor."

All I can say is poor, poor Meredith. Matt Lauer is a complete ahole to her all because he lost his butt buddy which I think Meredith is ten times better than Katie. I do not think that Matt will ever get over it! I believe he will be pineing for his sweet little Katie for the rest of his life. He absolutely hates Meredith and I feel horrible for her because there is no one more genuine than Meredith.
