laurengraham.jpgIt is official. Lauren Graham is coming back to series television.

As EW.com reported early this week, the former "Gilmore girl" has been in talks to play a lead role in NBC's "Parenthood," replacing Maura Tierney who bowed out after being diagnosed with cancer. NBC has just confirmed that Graham's deal is done.

Graham will once again be portraying a single mother to a teenage girl.

The series, loosely based on the 1989 "Parenthood" film, also stars Peter Krause, Erika Christensen, Craig T. Nelson, Dax Shepard and Monica Potter.

Production on the dramedy, expected to premiere midseason, will resume shortly.

I don't think even spellcheck can save that paragraph.

From one former NewsRadio member to another (ok LG was a consultant at WNYX), a rare smart move for NBC. The pilot was excellent.

HAHA... Smarties... since when talking hipa dn trendy wrong... its not like I am writting a paper for school... collage days are over... but back to the strory this show will cancelled too, nbc cancells everythinga nd repal;ces them with deal or no deal, deatline and jay leno... its becoming the reality network.

Yep. Sad to lose Maura, but very excited to gain Lauren. T.V. isn't the same without her. And maybe Maura can guest star down the line. Fingers crossed that this show delivers!

The question remains if NBC will simply cancel the show before it airs (like SouthLand) so they can save money by replacing it with another DateLine.

Enough of dateline as well...called over-exposure. Bring Las Vegas back to Friday nights.

YES!
