Kelly Ripa, Mark Consuelos returning to 'All My Children'

"All My Children" celebrates its 40th anniversary this January and alums Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are going to help celebrate.

The popular daytime soap opera will celebrate its anniversary on Jan. 5, 2010. Ripa and Consuelos' episodes will air Jan. 4-5. This marks the first time either one has appeared on "All My Children" since they left in 2002.

Ripa announced their return Friday, October 16th on her daytime talk show "Live with Regis & Kelly" and says that "Live" will have special behind-the-scenes footage next month.

I could care less about either one of them coming back. I am pissed they are moving the show to LA from New York. I also don't know why they are getting rid of Aidan. I am glad they are getting rid of Taylor (I never like the actress when she was on "Guiding Light either), but they need to send her love interest (the soldier from Iraq) packing with her. They could also get rid of David Hayward and Annie! I hate them both!

Why would you care that they are moving the show to LA from NY? As long as it stays on the air, it shouldn't matter where it's filmed.

I agree. I think the show moving to LA will negatively affect the level of casting/acting talent on the show. I think, overall, NYC-shot soaps have better casts.
