Jamie Foxx reunites with Robert Downey Jr. for 'Due Date'

Robert Downey Jr. helped Jamie Foxx find his music in "The Soloist." Now it's Foxx's turn to help Downey.

Foxx has agreed to sign on as Downey's best friend for "Due Date," a road-trip comedy also starring Zach Galifianakis, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The film finds Downey trying to get home in time to witness his wife give birth.

Foxx's role promises to be juicy: Unbeknownst to Downey's character, his best friend and wife (Michelle Monaghan) dated in college. Might there still be a spark?

Filming begins later this fall.
