Twitter'How I Met Your Mother': Rachel Bilson might be Ted's baby mama
Rachel Bilson -- otherwise known as "The O.C."'s Summer Roberts -- is the latest addition to Ted's list of conquests.
CBS confirms that Bilson has been cast as Mr. Mosby's love interest in the all-important 100th episode of "How I Met Your Mother" which will air mid-season.
According to EW.com, where the news was first reported, co-creator Craig Thomas has said the milestone ep will feature "some serious mother action" and will be the closest Ted's ever come to discovering who she is.
Of course, we're quite reluctant to believe Bilson will be the lucky girl. "HIMYM" has a lot of miles left in it and it seems too soon to introduce the endgame. However, one never knows...

I thought she was good on "Chuck" and had good chemistry with Zach Levi. I hope she ends up being Mrs. Mosby!
The mother SHOULDN'T come in at the end. I would definitely want to have several seasons of Ted's relationship with the mother on screen. I'd feel cheated if it ended with Ted only just meeting her. We should know her as well as the rest of the gang by series' end.
I want them to wait until the end to introduce the mother. And I hope Rachel Bilson isn't the mother, because I would like the mother to be an unknown. That way we wouldn't know it was the mother the second she walks on the screen. Like maybe Rachel could be a friend or sister of the mother and that is why we are getting close...
I totally agree with zapdsL. I don't think the story has got to end the very instant Ted meets her. I think they can legitimately introduce her and allow him and the audience to get to know her. It is still the story of how they met and fell in love, afterall these stories often take time and don't always happen straight away.
Hope she isnt that means the end is close and i dont want it to be nowwwwww noooooo lol
We'll see with the chemistry. I'm still holding out for Cupcake Girl to come back but whatever.
I think they could potentially introduce the mother before the end of the series and have her in a long term relationship with Ted, sort of like Robin in season 1&2, but give the final confirmation that she was the mother in the final episode. It would sort of be the best of both worlds.
Bilson is my celebrity crush. I love HIMYM. Christmas came early this year :)
I think it's possible that the mother could be one of his former girlfriends who rekindle their relationship. What disappoints me is that they've kinda closed up the Robin/Ted love story. I was always hoping that in the end he'd say "And Aunt Robin, is actually your mother" or something along those lines.
I'm just happy that they're going back to "Ted the Romantic" because as much as I love the lovey-dovey wackiness of Marshall & Lily and the legendary RoBarney, I really miss the "hopeful knight-in-shining-armour-wannabe" that Josh Radnor does so well! The fact that it is the amazing Rachel Bilson is a very nice cherry on top of this rom-com sundae!!
