Twitter'How I Met Your Mother': Chris Elliott gets a life as Lily's dad

Comedic actor Chris Elliott.
FOX, the studio behind "How I Met Your Mother," confirms that Elliott -- who had recurring sitcom roles on both "Everybody Loves Raymond" and "According to Jim" -- will play Lily's estranged pop, a good-for-nothing loser with a troubled past.
The episode will air in late November and likely debunk the "girls marry guys that remind them of their dad" myth.

I can't stand this guy, but he ought to be able to play a loser pretty well - just don't know if I'll be able to sit through it!
I loved him in Get a Life, but not quite as much since. I think he's put in some bad roles. Hopefully it will work.
Not looking forward to the episodes he is in. He rotted up Everyone Loves raymond with his poor acting - albeit it was a crappy role anyway

Kinda funny, I was just looking at something (old Letterman clips I think) and wondering what became of Chris...
Never been a big fan, but I'm sure he will be fine on this show. The writers are great a playing to the actors strengths.
