Hey, that guy from "The Mummy" is teaming up with Indiana Jones!

Brendan Fraser and Harrison Ford won't be raiding tombs, unfortunately; the duo are leading the cast of "Extraordinary Measures," a medical mystery from newly revived studio CBS Films.

The movie, once upon a time simply called "Crowley," follows Fraser's character, whose children are diagnosed with a fatal and mysterious disease. Fraser turns to grumpy doctor Ford when other physicians are unable to help. Wasn't this an episode of "House?"

Anyway, peep two shots from the film:

"Extraordinary Measures" opens in theaters Jan. 22, 2010.

I can hardly wait for this film! It sounds like an extraordinary film with a heartwarming message! PLUS, two of my favorite actors! I smell Oscar!

wow you mean Harrison is not going to play the dad of the "my family is in danger" plot.....

I have Pompe Disease. This is an important movie for me, and the others who have been crippled by this genetic disorder that eats away at your muscles. It is known as an orphan disease, because nobody has cared much about it. I live in the WOrcester Mass area and hope that I can get people to attend with me and make a donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association

Most victims are infants and children, I happen to be one of the very few later adult onset, which means all I have to look forward to in retirement is being immobile. For the young, unless more research money is funded, they may never have the pleasure of a walk in the woods, a snow sled ride, picking flowers, etc. etc. etc.
