Halloween on daytime TV, starring Regis, Kelly and Barbara Walters as Vampire Bette Davis
Daytime TV got all dressed up for Halloween on Friday morning, and as usual, Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa pretty well stole the show.
The "Live with Regis and Kelly" hosts chose a "Reality Bites" theme for their Halloween show, running through a dizzying number of costume changes (some of which were pre-taped) and skewering everyone from Jon and Kate Gosselin to the Real Housewives of New Jersey to Lady Gaga and Susan Boyle.
For my money, though, none of their parodies was as spot-on as this one of Bravo's "Rachel Zoe Project." It's just about perfect, encapsulating the entire show in just over a minute. Have a look:
Other Halloween highlights and horrors from the morning:
"Today": The show went with a "Star Wars" theme, with a big assist from Lucasfilm. As amusing as it was to see Ann Curry as Darth Vader (and as weird as it was seeing Matt Lauer in a blond Luke Skywalker wig), nothing can top Hoda Kotb as Yoda Kotb.

"The View": The ladies (and guest Bill O'Reilly) all donned old-school vampire getups. Elisabeth Hasselbeck's Countess Chocula was kind of cute, but we really can't get past how much Barbara Walters looks like Bette Davis.

"The Price Is Right": Kudos to the crew for replicating "TPIR" games with their costumes. Love Drew Carey's getup as the yodeler from Cliffhanger.
"The Early Show": Not much thematic unity in the show's first-ever Halloween dress-up (Russ Mitchell is Wolverine, Maggie Rodriguez is Adam Lambert), but we have to give Harry Smith credit for committing to the bit as Julia Child: He did his imiation of the famous chef across several segments.

"Rachael Ray": Yawn. Rosie O'Donnell's Glinda costume is pretty good, but Dorothy's too easy. Step your game up, Rachael.

Halloween is for kids under 15. Plus it's just another "holiday" for business and we the public are brainwash into it.
Agreed.

I don't know, Barbara looks a lot like Cher to me.
