'Glee': The first 13 eps to drop on DVD in December
They're missing the boat on holiday gifting, but "Glee" is still preparing an end-of-the-year treat for fans of the new FOX dramedy: The first 13 episodes will be released on DVD December 29th."Glee Season 1: Road to Sectionals" will include the first half of this freshman season, while the nine episodes scheduled to air in winter/spring 2010 will be available on DVD later that year.

This show started out so great and then got wobbly. After last night's disappointing episode I am starting to think that I may not tune in for the back nine. I hope they can turn it around.
Pathetic attempt by Fox Marketing to get people to buy DVDs. Just wait and sell an entire season. How many different DVD sets will there be? Season 1 Part 1, Season 1 Part 2, Season 1 both parts, Season 1 collector's edition, Season 1 Director's Cut, Season 1 Special Edition...when will it end?!!!

I enjoyed last night's show, great performances by Mr. Schue and some great scenes with him and Emma.
WOW! That was fast but why not capitalize on it's popularity, afterall the first CD of songs is out in November (already available for pre-sale on amazon).

I love the negativity flowing on the message boards. Love the double posting on multiple threads by negative posters trying to get their points across. This is a great show with a great cast. I for one will be getting the DVD.
Two more observations: Having Variety be more complete than you should be cause for anxiety for Korbi, as this is not a high bar to clear.
Glee is not all that "popular" in the ratings, so the capitalization may be the right financial move, but should not be taken as proof of some market strength.
"To keep fans from having to buy the same episodes twice, the 13-episode set will include a voucher that can be used toward purchase of the full season box set."
But you'll still have two copies of the first part of season 1. Sounds like a waste.
