FOX renews 'American Dad,' TNT's 'Rizzoli' gets a partner

Stan Smith will go on fighting for America for at least one more year.FOX has renewed "American Dad" for a sixth season, which means that all three shows in Seth MacFarlane's animated empire are good to go through the 2010-11.
The show is averaging about 7.1 million viewers a week this season, which puts it in the middle of the pack in the Nielsen ratings. It's a top 30 show in adults 18-49, however, and FOX notes that it ranks among the top 10 in teenagers, adults 18-34 and key male demos.
MacFarlane's newest series, "The Cleveland Show," earned a full second-season pickup earlier this month. "Family Guy" is set through the 2011-12 season.
- TNT has added to the cast of its pilot "Rizzoli," with former "NCIS" star Sasha Alexander leading the newcomers.
Alexander, whose recent credits include "Love Happens" and "Yes Man," will star as Boston medical examiner Maura Isles, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The pilot is based on a series of novels by Tess Gerritsen in which Boston homicide detective Jane Rizzoli (Angie Harmon) works with Isles to solve cases.
Bruce McGill ("Law Abiding Citizen," "Animal House"), Lee Thompson Young ("FlashForward") and Jordan Bridges ("Conviction") have also joined the cast. McGill will play a veteran detective who used to partner with Rizzoli. Young will play her new partner and Bridges her younger brother, who's a beat cop.

Great show, but like its not a Family Guy.
this is by far the best of MacFarlane's show's although not as good as The Simpsons or as good as King Of The Hill was.
Lets see, Jon has bedded some women, ran wild professed his dying love for Hailey, can't live without her he claimed, now he is running to a Rabbi to find his way and lo and behold, he breaks up with Hailey. While everyone out there hates Kate, I think she got the better of the deal.
i think they should show these shows more they are just good entertainment.
