'Doctor Who' new logo or old logo?: Vote!
"Doctor Who" is getting a new look, and it's not just because Matt Smith will be filling the shoes of the famous Time Lord.BBCAmerica.com has unveiled a new logo for the show, which will accompany Smith's on-screen debut as The Doctor in spring 2010.
It's the 11th logo to be used in the show's history.
Before jumping into the new, let's take a look at the old logo, which represented David Tennant's time as The Doctor:
"Doctor Who" writer/executive producer Steven Moffat is excited for the new logo though, which is accompanied by an animated insignia of the initials, made to look like the police box/TARDIS.
"A new logo. The eleventh logo for the eleventh Doctor -- those grand old words, 'Doctor Who,' suddenly looking newer than ever," says Moffat. "And look at that, something really new -- an insignia! DW in TARDIS form! Simple and beautiful, and most important of all, a completely irresistible doodle. I apologise to school notebooks everywhere, because in 2010 that's what they're going to be wearing."

The new season of "Doctor Who" will premiere in spring 2010. In the meantime, fans can flock to the final three special episodes starring David Tennant to be broadcast on BBC America through the remainder of 2009.

I think it a bit lame, but then again, I hate the choice of Smith as the Doctor- it seems like the BBC is trying to tween it up.
I like the new logo, but yeah, not sure about the new doctor.
I like the visual look (meaning the colors) of the new one, but the style of the old one. They should have just taken the old one and made it that blue color. BBC considers this another re-start (like they did 5 years ago), so maybe that is why.
The old logo was awful. Cheap with CGI lens flares and it doesn't even look great in the circular time tunnel.
Now, comparing the new theme music with the old one... more of a tossup there!
