Twitter'Desperate Housewives' creator Marc Cherry developing new show for ABC
Yes, Marc Cherry is working on a new series for ABC. No, it won't be a spinoff of his current show, "Desperate Housewives."
Cherry and ABC are currently in discussions about the show, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with few details other than the involvement of "Housewives" executive producer Alexandra Cunningham.
The series was originally intended to be a "Housewives" side story, but though the show will still share the "Desperate" tone, it will otherwise be completely separate, THR reports.
The new series is scheduled to launch next season.
