David Letterman discusses extortion in full confession

David Letterman dropped a bombshell on his "Late Show" audience Thursday night when he decided to tell his audience "a story" of extortion, lies and sex.

As Zap2it reported earlier, a CBS employee had knowledge of Letterman's previous affairs with some of his show staffers and was trying to extort money from the late night talk show host.

The audience didn't quite know what to make of the confession, even laughing in spots when his usual staccato delivery made it seem like he was delivering a punchline.
