Colin Egglesfield & Ashlee Simpson to exit 'Melrose Place' ...what happened?
The upcoming exits of "Melrose Place" series regulars Colin Egglesfield and Ashlee Simpson-Wentz were announced this week, but one of these departures is not like the other.
I'm talking about what I know...

*Note: For the record, Amy Locane only appeared in 13 episodes of the original "Melrose" series, my mistake!
...So I suppose the Colin-Ashlee situation is a bit of history repeated. Wonder if Heather's arrival in November will repeat a little history as well...

Amy Locane only = 15 episodes.
I remember Amy Locane being around that whole first season. But it was so long ago. Can't believe they've been plotting this Ashlee thing for weeks!

Korbi gurl, what are you talkin about? Amy Locane got fired after 13 episodes(and made her final appearance in the 15th, but she was already out of the opening credits by ep 14). And FOX waited until after Melrose had it's season 2 launch party to tell Vanessa Williams she wouldn't be back.
Not at all sad to lose Simpson-Wentz, she should've been fired immediately after the pilot IMO. As for Colin, I'm sorry he lost his job but his acting was pretty damn horrible too, only thing he was good for was his body(face is kinda fug).
Ashley's acting in the pilot was HORRIBLE! But Colin I feel bad for they gave him nothing to do!! They WROTE his character badly it's not his fault. Yes KORBI we should start a campaign to SAVE COLIN!
They didn't write his character badly, he was just a terrible actor. Look at the second episode, he had some real meaty material to play with Laura Leighton, and he blew it.
Yes because Colin and Jessica were the only bad actors on the show please ugh that show has so many bad actors on it its ridiculous at least Colin was hot.
I think it's too soon for them to be getting rid of any one. Some of the story lines are just getting good.
I love Colin!!!! He is my fav male on the show!!!! He definitely needs to stay...Ashlee sucked and will not miss her at all. The character of Violet had potential w/ a better actor.
Nobody will miss Ashlee. No amount of acting classes and coaches could make her even a decent actress, let alone a good one. She has no talent. There's nothing to build on. Colin was fine. I never watched him and thought he was a bad actor. I think he should stick around. I love him.....and his face and body. He's delicious.
