Casting Call: Neil Patrick Harris gets animated, Kirsten Dunst is 'Upside Down'
Neil Patrick Harris just can't get any downtime.
The "How I Met Your Mother" star is in talks to lend his voice to the 3-D animated film "Rio," which follows a bookish bird from the Midwest to Rio de Janeiro, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Harris could be in good company for the Fox flick: Anne Hathaway and Rodrigo Santoro are also in negotiations.
Carlos Saldanha ("Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs") will direct.
-- Kirsten Dunst is being turned "Upside Down" with her latest role.
According to Variety, Dunst will star in a "Romeo and Juliet-style sci-fi fantasy" that's set to begin shooting in Montreal in February. She'll play the long-lost love of a guy (Jim Sturgess, "21") who goes searching for her in an alternate universe.
The movie is set for a fall 2011 release.
