'American Idol' winner Carrie Underwood to headline holiday special on FOX

Carrie Underwood, winner of "American Idol" season 4 and many awards, is returning to FOX to headline her own holiday special, airing December 7th.

The two-hour show is tentatively titled "Carrie Underwood: An All-Star Holiday Special" and will be directed and produced by Adam Shankman and Nigel Lythgoe. Stars joining Ms. Underwood include Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley and other "American Idol" winner David Cook.

"Seinfeld" writer Carol Leifer, former "Frasier" executive producer Jeffrey Richman and actor/writer Seth Morris are penning sketches for the special.

Underwood, the most successful recording artist "American Idol" has produced, has a new album due out November 3rd titled "Play On."

Yes!! FOX is a network that truly knows how to showcase talent. Unlike the dying peacock. Underwood should take its feathers and wear them as a hat.

lol... fake meow your silly... have a masters here, highly educated, just like to trendy type, didnt know this was a busiensss propopsal... kelly is a legend and more sucessful than carrie. but both are great, betterthan the new pop stars who think they are all that.

ok meow, you keep saying you are highly educated and you have a masters degree. ok a masters in what. dont try to cover it up with the "just like to trendy type" that just does not cut it. if you truly had a masters in anything im am sure that you would not have that much time in your hand. i just got a PhD in criminal phycology, a masters in criminal defense and believe me when i say its very hard to have that much time to just waste around cuz i sure barely have time for anything else.. so give it up you are not that highly educated at best I say 5th grade, no wait a fifth grader is smart than you, lets say 3rd grade education
