'American Idol' runner-up David Archuleta's parents file for divorce

David's the most positive person so I'm sure he's making the best of the situation. Hope he stays happy and concentrates on his promising career! Good luck, David, love you.

Wow, he has a lot of nerve asking her for child support. I'm sure Archie has been supporting that whole family for a while now, and Dadchuleta has probably finally realized that his antics may mean the end of the gravy train for him. I feel bad for Archie and his mother and siblings, but they are probably better off without him.

I hope the parents keep it civil for the kids sake. Poor David-divorce is never easy, especially on the kids. God Bless David and his family

thank god lupe has seen the light - the sooner she gets away from this *******, and david as well, the better. i despise him for putting his family through this mess. david will be fine, i pray, but jeff can kiss all our collective *****.

Why would Lupe have to pay him child support? Is he taking the kids? And whose fault was all this anyway? Surely it wasn't hers. I would think the children would stay with her and he would have to pay for their support. What am I missing here?

So very sad that David and Lupe (and the rest of the children) have to go thru all this, but all the more reason to stand behind David and support him, which I will do for as long as he needs it. David is a wonderful person, and I can only imagine that Lupe had an awful lot to do with that. Love you David!

We the outsider don't know what really happened between David's parents. But, Jeff was still working with David's Christmas album and also co-wrote "Melody of Christmas", it means that David is still having a good relationship with Jeff. Sometimes marriage could be ended because there is no chemistry between the two of them. So I hope that his parents' divorce won't affect David musical career in a negative way. It seems to me that David is fine and OK so far. Anyway I hope the best for David and his family. Let the family dealing with their problems, as his fans we should support David even more. I get my CDs and I'll buy some more!!!!!

david im so sorry to hear your mom and dad are getting a divorce and im sorry that you and the rest of the children have to go though this rough time and david i just want you to know that i saport you david i pray that god will help you and i hope that you will get though this and i also pray that this wont affect your singing carear cause you david james archulta are fantastic love ya david

divorce is never easy and it happens to the best of us. hopefully, for the sake of the children, david's parents keep things civil. david will survive. he has a lot of faith and his music will get him through this. it's too bad it's happening so close to the holidays. it will be tough. everyone, please don't believe everything you read about the divorce. the media sensationalizes everything. don't feed into it. just support david through this trying time.

Things happen without our control sometimes.I care about David and he hasn't shown any personal adversities to fans although he's been through a lot. He has the inner strength and something that only few people have. Love him.
