ABC orders full seasons of 'Modern Family,' 'Cougar Town' & 'The Middle'

Comedy is alive and well at ABC.

The network, better known in recent years for dramas such as "Grey's Anatomy" and "Lost," launched four sitcoms this fall season and has just ordered the back nine episodes for three of them.

"Modern Family," "Cougar Town" & "The Middle" have performed consistently strong on Wednesday nights since their debuts three weeks ago.

Left out of the pick up party, however, is Kelsey Grammer's "Hank," which has had a tougher time gaining a solid audience, anchoring the night at 8 p.m.

I like the middle and modern family. I havent been able to really get into cougar town yet.

I am very happy to hear this. I quickly grew tired of Modern Family, but I am happy for the fans. I personally love Cougar Town, so of course I am excited there.

Modern Family is great, The Middle is very solid. I feel like there's something good there in Cougar Town but they've tried too hard for laughs early on.

The Middle is very funny. And it left you with a happy, wholesome feeling at the end of this week's episode. I am very happy to hear it's picked up for a full season.

Modern Family is OK...I can understand the pick-up.

Cougar Town needs to stay sharp & funny like the first 2 episodes were for me to continue watching...This week showed some signs of slipping in the funny dep't into cliche territory and slightly bored me.

Modern Family & The Middle I skip so cannot comment on.
