'90210': CW confirms lesbian romance
The CW has confirmed the Rumer rumor -- Rumer Willis' character Gia is bringing a lesbian romance to the "90210" zip code. After dealing with a drug addiction, a trip to rehab and a pregnancy in season one, Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) is turning over a new leaf in season two. Apparently part of her new leaf means getting involved with Gia, the school news broadcast geek.
The relationship, as first reported by EW.com, is NOT just a fling but an actual connection. The series feels that gay or bisexual relationships are a void on "90210" that needs filling.

We think they'll make an adorable couple and applaud the show's efforts to bring a gay romance to one of the main characters. We're also glad to see it's not just a lesbian dalliance, which is a storyline much more suited for college students on television.

Give me a break... Why not make Dixon gay?? Why a female... Well all I can say is now that you are doing this one more fan of the show has been lost or make that a family of the show. Nothing against gay or bisexual relationships but it is not something I want to watch.. Bye bye 90210..
Rumer Willis is a horrible actress.
Just because daddy is Bruce and mommy is Demi doesn't mean she belongs in front of the camera.
I've seen her in roles, and she really is that bad.
stupid gimmick.
sounds interesting.
Because THAT's the problem with 90210's non-existent ratings... :(

I couldn't have said it better myself Tiffany Rings.
Hey wait...I already did! :)
Rena, get off the ratings bit. Seriously.
But I agree that this smells like a gimmick. I think it's more taboo now to have a bisexual male character than a female one. If a show goes with that then maybe they can break barriers. I see Ade with Navid by the end of next year and Gia a simple experimentation.
I think it is great. I also think Rumor is cute and talented.
I personally think it's great! I was actually hoping for a storyline like this. can't wait!!
