'24's' Cherry Jones, Sarah Paulson split

There appears to be a reason Cherry Jones didn't thank longtime girlfriend Sarah Paulson during an acceptance speech at the Emmys. They're no longer together.

"We're not together anymore, but we're still dearest of friends," Jones told Usmagazine.com at the Broadway opening night of The Royal Family in New York City. "It's the happiest break up that's ever been. We grew so much together and now we can send each other off with a kiss and great love."

Jones, 52, and Paulson, 34, had been dating publicly for several years and both act regularly on Broadway.

During the Sept. 20 Emmys, Jones won a supporting dramatic actress award for playing President Allison Taylor on "24."

Paulson has had guest roles on "Deadwood" and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" and starred in the short-lived "Cupid" reboot.

True being a Cougar is all the rage, but only few woman can pull it off, and they are the hot ones like Demi, Madonna and Courthney Cox on tv. and those woman are in their early to mid 40s.... But Poor Cherry , she should stick to woman around her own age.

Paulson didn't have a "guest role" on Studio 60, she was one of the stars.

MADONNA looks a little gaunt. Why don't women, especially entertainers, know when to stop losing weight. There's a point when thin is bad. Just my opinion...BTW...didn't Sarah Paulson was on "their" team...Not that there's anything wrong with that!!!

madonna is only 1 year younger than cherry, wonder what happened to poor cherry then, while madonna is still hot and inshape.... i guess excercising and eating healthy goes a long way. no wonder madonna has 22yo jesus all over her. looks like younger men appritite the beauty of a little older woman. good for them, seeing them together one can barely tell madonna is a bit older than jesus. where as in the pic above the age difference is very evident.
