Whitney Houston tells Oprah about her darkest times
Oprah Winfrey has been calling her interview with Whitney Houston one of her best ever, and Monday viewers finally got a chance to see what Winfrey was talking about.Houston and Winfrey covered the gamut of the singer's life and career in the interview, which is airing in two parts Monday and Tuesday on "The Oprah Winfrey Show." The money quote, though, is probably Houston describing how her mother, singer Cissy Houston, came to her house and essentially dragged her daughter to rehab. (See an excerpt here.)
"She walks in with these sheriffs and says, 'I have a court injunction here. You can do it my way or we're just not going to do this at all.' She said, 'We're both going to go on TV and you're going to retire and say you're going to give this up, because this is not worth it.' ...
"She said, 'Let's go. Let's do this. I'm not losing to the world. I'm not losing you to Satan. ... I want my daughter back."
Houston also talks about what she describes as an emotionally abusive marriage to singer Bobby Brown, saying that at one point he even spit on her. "I was horrified he spit on me, in my face," she tells Winfrey. She also says that "he slapped me once, but he got hit on the head three times by me."

Whitney Crack-Ho seems to forget about the times she was with her abusive husband standing by his side, yapping on her cell phone in court and being called down by the judge, mocking the camera's and acting like an idiot. She needs to give up the spot light and just disappear.
Hag! She looks like she has aged 30 years in the past 7-8 years.
Wow. It always amazes how people love to hit people when they're down. Let Whitney have a moment where she is not subjected to name calling.
Whitney Houston is a class act who had the strength and courage to persevere in what was obviously a volatile marriage. Her choice to do drugs took away her spirit for a while and caused her to become someone that we all mocked and made fun of but in the end, she found herself again stronger than before, and she's going to be better than ever. She's got grace.

It brings me to tears knowing from experience that it is very possible. I've loved you Whitney since I was last in Hawaii about 23 yrs ago. Moved to California, finished high school, went to College. All the while in a "so called realationship" bore 3 beautiful children out of this 10 yr. deal that ended being not the winning case. Drugs, drugs, and more drugs, good sex, verbal, mental, as well as physical abuse included. Long story short I am back here on the islands drug free and trying to do my best for my children and I although it isn't a picnic! So overall I feel even closer to you (Whitney) as I did as a little girl.. And in the end of it all Our Heavenly Father is there always at our becoming brand new again. Aloha & Mahalo
Y'all haters need to leave Whitney alone. She survived the dakn cloud she was buried in.Now that she's back on top you blabbing. Get yourselves a life.
