Whitney Houston interview with Oprah: Part II
The second part of Whitney Houston's emotional and revealing "Oprah Winfrey" interview delved deeper into her poisonous relationship with ex-husband Bobby Brown."He was my drug," she confessed. "I didn't do anything without him. I wasn't getting high by myself. It was me and him together, and we were partners, and that's what my high was -- him. He and I being together, and whatever we did, we did it together. No matter what, we did it together."
When she later came to her senses, Houston said she decided not to live in "unholy matrimony."
She continued discussing her struggles and how her friends and mother were her support group, helping her come out of her low period.
A particularly touching moment occurred around 14 minutes into the second part, in which Houston discusses Michael Jackson's death, seeing parallels with her own drug addictions.
Check out the full interview below:
Unfortunately, the video ends just before performs "I Didn't Know My Own Strength," a song from her new album, "I Look to You."

I KNOW SHE CAN AND WILL MAKE A GREAT COME BACK. THATS MY GIRL. PUT THE PAST BEHIND YOU AND GO FOR THE GOLD GIRL. YOU STILL HAVE THE WILL POWER TO GO ON. BY THE WAY I LOVE THE BODYGUARD MOVIE. DO MORE FOR ME. YOUR FAN FROM GUYANA
shes too quick to blame others for her decisions and problems. snort you lose lady
I was disgusted by the whole interview. What a phony. She is riding on her fame and talent from the past. Her throat is so burnt from all that weed and crack, she can barely take a breath. Shame on Oprah, that she couldn't or didn't want to see thru all her drama queen antics. To put a child through that mess, that kid should have been taken away from her long time ago. The only time she got excited was when she was talking about the weed and crack and laughing and whoo what a good time. Nice for our kids to see. Very disappointed, she might have looked like a lady, but acted like a ghetto girl.
I am just happy she did not have to live through the horrifying results of staying in a relationship that is abusive in any way. The world can be really mean to people like Whitney and I apologize for that because she is trully a gift God sent to US. I am just so damn happy God decided to let us keep her. I will not curse Bobby because he has cursed hisself when he lost the glorious gift the beauty in Whitney had to offer him. He has my condolescence. Welcome back Whitney and thank you Cissy Whitney's Mom for not giving up on her as many moms do. I love you for that. Clive Davis if I could chose an angel for myself it would be you, thank you for never giving up on Whitney.
I wish I'd been able to watch these episodes.
Whitney,
You are beautiful, gifted, honest and filled with the holy spirit. You are an inspirtation. I have prayed for you for years and am so thankful God did not take you and you chose to come back to your faith stronger than ever. You have blessed me thank you..Tracey
She has a Rock Cocaine speech impediment (the lisp). The breathless rasp in her talking voice is because of lasting abrasion to her throat and lungs from smoking cocaine. She will never perform in concert again because she isn't capable of sustaining any kind of performance. from now on she will be relying on studio wizardry (and diehard fans) to keep her "singing" career going.
I think everyone has some issues in their lives if you don't than your are not human so we should never judge anyone at any time because you never wear you will be tomorrow so I say DO IT WHITNEY AND KEEP SMILING AND DANCING ON THE DEVIL'S HEAD
I am so glad to see whitney is back. I wish the best for her and bobbie-christina. She has her spirit back. Yes! she has inspired me. As some one said we all have a trial to tell. I am glad you did it on Ophrah. I don't think You should do it on any other show. Ophrah is spiritual like you are now. Once is enough to go back over all that pain. Now you need to heel. People need to stop judging. I hope you find peace now.
I WISH I COULD HAVE SEEN THE INTERVIEWS! I am so proud of her for overcoming one of the hardest obsticals that a human can face.(both issues bobby and drugs) Everyone makes mistakes and she is a strong intelligent woman and did the right thing. She was doing the right thing standing by her husband but on certain circumstances you bail. Thats what she did. She is also taking her mistakes and speaking out about those and helping someone else by telling her story. I look forward to seeing more of Whitney in the future and support her to the fullest. I pray she doesnt let the close minded people out there get to her, she is only human! Love You Whitney!!!
