Watch Conan O'Brien get injured on 'The Tonight Show'

conanobrien_headbump_290.jpgConan O'Brien returned to "The Tonight Show" Monday looking no worse for having suffered a mild concussion while taping Friday's show. And of course, there was video of the injury.

O'Brien recounted what happened during the taping of Friday's show, which was scrapped after he suffered the blow to the head following a slip on the slick "Tonight Show" stage. It occurred while he was taping a bit with guest Teri Hatcher in which the two of them competed in a triathlon; as they were racing to the finish line, O'Brien lost his footing and fell backward, cracking the back of his head on the concrete floor.

He recovered immediately after the fall and had enough of his wits about him to call for a slow-motion replay of the finish, but after changing back into his suit for the next segment -- with "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane -- he basically didn't know what he was doing, O'Brien said on Monday's show.

The video of O'Brien's accident and his recounting of what happened afterward is below (the money shot comes at the 1:28 mark).

I think its really funny lol its good he's ok...

Head injuries are a serious matter. Just look at the effects they have on athletes like Mohammed Ali.

Some hockey players are also victims of serious head injuries.

It is not a laughing matter at all.

It can't possibly make him any stupider!

Props to Conan for releasing the footage. Glad he's OK. (P.S. - much better than Leno!)

It's okay to laugh now that we know he is okay. That looked like it hurt!!
