'Twilight: New Moon' virtual world set to launch with movie
Know what's really been missing from this whole "Twilight" phenomenon? A place online for fans of sparkly vampires to congregate and argue over who's cuter, Edward or Jacob.
Okay, while most of us call that place "the Internet," teen-themed social site Habbo -- the kind of place where you create a toyish avatar and wander blocky but colorful environments -- has teamed with Summit Entertainment to launch a world tied to "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
Summit promises the virtual (under)world will feature "Twilight"-based activities and games. No word on whether users will be able to choose between vampire, werewolf or adorably clumsy human characters.
Want to trade "New Moon" spoilers ahead of time? You're out of luck, Habbo-wise: The new content won't be available until Nov. 20, when the movie hits theaters.
