Question: Was that Seth MacFarlane playing and F.B.I. agent on "FlashForward"? What's up with that?Answer: Why, yes, that was Seth MacFarlane, "Family Guy"/"American Dad" mastermind and Hulu spokesman.
A friend of "FlashForward's co-creator Brannon Braga, MacFarlane was invited to come be a part of the pilot as a lark. But this isn't the last we'll see of him. Rather he'll be "popping in and out" on occasion.
"He's game to do more," says producer Jessica Borsiczky Goyer. "And I'm a ridiculous 'Family Guy' fan. So I just shake in my boots every time he comes around.
"I love it."

It was really unsettling and awkward. My friend agreed, he was just so out of place considering what we know him as.
I'm sure 99% of the general audience watching the show have no clue who Seth MacFarlane is or what his real "day job" is.
1. This was pretty well known
2. It was also semi-well known he will be on more.
3. So he's trying to stretch his acting legs a little. Let him.

Yeah it kind of threw me for a loop, i knew it was him... was kind of disappointed with the show. defying gravity is a much better show in my opinion, and it looks like it's going to get the ax
I was stunned when he showed up. I kind of did a double take and a "huh". He great with animation and voiceover work but I never expected to see him acting in a tv series. By the way, he was excellent in his role and the show had me on the edge of my seat the entire hour. I bet this will be another huge hit. The story is frightening when you think about how it all played out last night. The entire world flashforwarded for 2 minutes and 17 secs. while some person(s), or things went unscathed. Really well done thriller!!!

Wow, what a great start,to what appears to be a great show. We plan on being there every week!! And Seth's appearance was a nice little surprise!!
I thought it is a good show and ill be watchin it again no doubt. Definately on my dvr of things to record.
