'The Cleaner' scrubbed from A&E

A&E has canceled its Benjamin Bratt-starring drama series, which ran for two seasons on the cable network, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Earlier in September, the series finished its second season and wasn't renewed.

Based on the real-life experiences of interventionist William Banks, "The Cleaner" centers on an ex-con and former heroin addict who uses his team of other former addicts to help get other people clean from drugs.

"The Cleaner" also co-starred Grace Park, Kevin Michael Richardson and Esteban Powell.

I love this show! I am disappointed it will not be back for season 3.

Opening the door for Grace Park to guest-star on Dollhouse as a new doll. Better hurry before that's canceled too!

:)

I am so disappointed and am hoping against all hope that the show gets picked up somewhere else! It was well written and superbly acted. And it WASN"T reality tv, a medical drama OR a cop show!!! Sucks....

you get a good show with good stories and it gets cancelled.and probably some reality show will replace it. i like the GOOD reality show, but THE BEAST (Patrick Swayze and his sidekick were fantastic, God rest Patricks soul) and now the Cleaner. Benjamin Bratt is so good as are his sidekicks, the guest stars were great, why? TNT has been coming up with some great dramas, maybe we should hit them up with letters and emails to pick it up.

This show was great, very dark, showed another side of life.......sorry it was cancelled.

The fans will be understandably upset, but this is a no-brainer for A&E.

Networks can't run forever on PR and buzz, especially these days. Hopefully, they'll find something with higher ratings that will help turn the boat around.

This was a truly great show - the actors and story lines were all believeable and heart felt. Really a shame that it got cancelled.

I also really liked the intensity of the show and particularly the wonderful Benjamin Bratt. It takes guts to do a tough subject like this but that's what makes for good TV drama.

Why can't networks make a decision in time for fans to get closure... or if they HAVE to cancel, let us buy the rest of the season via pay per view or on demand. It is like telling a 6 y/o that there is no Santa Claus.
