Susan Boyle covers 'Wild Horses' song on 'America's Got Talent' finale
Finally, Susan Boyle graces our shores for the long-awaited "America's Got Talent" finale performance, and wild horses couldn't drag us away from our TVs.Boyle, looking classy in a simple black gown and sporting straightened hair, was met with wild applause before launching immediately into "Wild Horses."
The song is a Rolling Stones cover, making it somewhat familiar for the audience, but it raises the question once again if Boyle can sell an original song. Her first album "I Dreamed a Dream" will be released on Nov. 23, following a U.S. concert tour.

This is a ridiculously silly question. Can she sing anything other than covers?? A song is a song. If you can sing, you can sing a whole myriad of songs, whether they were written years ago or today. Period. Duh.
Advice to Kevin Skinner, Winner of America's Got Talent.....
Wisely invest the 500-$600,000 (RATS- remainder after taxes subtracted) you'll receive, with your voice this is the only money you will earn from a singing career.
America gave Kevin a handout, not a hand up!
Susan can sing period. I will gladly writer her a song and be damn proud to hear her bring it to life. She has talent, guts, and heart. Songs are emotional musicial messages...she can tell mine any day.

I also agree with Christy's comment that if you can sing you can sing a variety of songs.

Before April 11 of this year, which is only 5 months ago, Susan was living in a little village in Scotland. Now she's expected to be a songwriter right away.
Lot's of singer's sing the classics and they sing them there way and Susan has done just that. Why not let her blossom in her own time, she had a lot in a short period of time. I love Susan and I am pulling for her dream 100% Somewhere down the road,she can get a songwriter, I believe she can sing anything.
Susan is very talented and I could listen to her all the time. Her voice is so beautiful and she knows how to make the song so real, like you are already there about the places she singing about.

This performance was beautiful. And if that is true that she will be touring the US, well... wild horses couldn't keep me away. :)
This is the problem with 99% of AGT singing acts: they can't write their own material. I believe it shows more talent if a person can write their own songs instead of only singing covers. However, part of the blame lies with the meddling producers who give all the acts a list of pre-approved songs that they must choose from.
I would love to see her sing it with the rolling stones as a duet..
