So long, Jon: TLC introduces 'Kate Plus Eight'

The show currently known as "Jon & Kate Plus Eight" will continue to air on TLC -- just minus the "Jon &" part.The cable channel announced Tuesday (Sept. 29) that the show will "adapt to the changing Gosselin family" by taking a new title. Husband Jon Gosselin is gone, and the show will now be called just "Kate Plus Eight." The retitled series will debut in November.
"Given the recent changes in the family dynamics, it only makes sense for us to refresh and recalibrate the program to keep pace with the family," TLC president and general manager Eileen O'Neill says. "The family has evolved, and we are attempting to evolve with it; we feel that Kate's journey really resonates with our viewers."
O'Neill also says TLC is developing another Kate Gosselin project for a 2010 premiere. Jon Gosselin will still make occasional appearances on "Kate Plus Eight," "but on a less regular basis," the network says. It still has an exclusive deal with Jon.
Jon and Kate Gosselin announced in June that they were divorcing after several months of speculation about trouble in their marriage. The episode in which they announced their split set ratings records for TLC with more than 10 million viewers; since then, however, ratings have plummeted to below 2 million for the most recent episode.

Good for TLC! Kate IS spending time with her kids - that's why she is doing the show - someone has to support them and it sure isn't that loser John!
Take the show off period. Kate such a control freak no wander Jon in a free fall. Now Jon stop the foolishness and take care of your kids and Kate stop having others do the housework.
Enough already! I watched the show from the beginning and even then Kate was and still is a B***Breaker. Its always been about Kate it must be hard for her to juggle her JOB( I thought it was called raising a family) and all of her beauty appointments! As usual its all about the money! You are a piss poor example of motherhood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good for Jon now time for Kate to leave, the shows lately from what i'm reading are only about her the only reason shes continuing is for the freebies for her that her kids are paying for by her exploiting them have her stop saying shes a single mom she insults us real single mom shes a divorced mom not single someone needs to tell her the meaning of being a single mom.

I watched this show maybe twice in all the time it has been on - couldn't stomach the family dynamics. She is a b**** and he is an a**. Just take the show off the air and let them get real jobs.
Like I said I will stick for a little while longer.I am glad the network kinda dumped him,he showed us he just didnt care. She was tooo bossy,well where were his (starts with B. ends in S. ) he just showed all of us he didnt give a crap. She took the top role had fun with it for the kids sake..and of course for the money sake. With 8 kids to support who woulnt take this gift horse in the mouth..to feed her 8 mouths..she would be a fool not to. He just wants the money for himself and his BIMBOS..I hate for him to be on the gravy train when he aint doin nada..he is one sorry dude. I watch ths show with my wife and oh the work in working with the kids is like nutty..she is trying to make it fun and games..but it is hard and intruding for sure. She is a smart tuff gal and has her head on straight..all women who get to the top of the heap get called the BITCH WORD..we men dont and you know men can be tuff and calculating but it is exceptable rite.. go Kate Kick ass.

She isn't working hard,her children are. She has people helping her (if not completely) taking care of her children and her house! As far as for being in great shape,that's a bunch of nonsense as she had a tummy tuck and who knows what else. Maybe if she had worked a little at that "great shape" I would agree with you but anybody can have a great shape with a tummy tuck and who knows what else. She isn't supporting her children,the children are supporting her! Do you really think she would have a show if she didn't have 8 children?!
Jon didn't leave on his own accord. Maybe now the Loser will have to find a real job. Paying child support for eight kids won't be easy. Let's see what you are capable of on your own Jonny boy!
