'Sherlock Holmes' sequel may pit Brad Pitt against Robert Downey Jr.
A "Sherlock Holmes" sequel? Elementary, my dear Watson.
A "Sherlock Holmes" sequel starring Brad Pitt as the Great Detective's nemesis? Holy [expletive], Sherlock.
Warner Bros. has started work on a sequel to the Robert Downey Jr.-Jude Law take on Holmes and Watson, according to The Hollywood Reporter, with prep including talks with writers and potential co-star Pitt.
Pitt's involvement is intriguing: He'd play Prof. James Moriarty, a London criminal nicknamed "the Napoleon of crime" in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's stories. Moriarty is often portrayed as Holmes' intellectual equal, though there's no word yet on how that will translate to Guy Ritchie's more action-oriented take on Sherlock.
"Sherlock Holmes" opens in theaters Dec. 25.

Interesting that they are planning a sequel before the movie even comes out. What if it's a flop?
I don't think it will be, personally. I just think it's premature to think sequel.
As a Melrose Place fan (both the new and old), I just want to say I get a little tired of the nasty or "who cares?" comments here. If you don't like Melrose or it's cast, or don't care about it, why bother to read an article about a former cast member coming back to the new remake, let alone comment on it? Just doesn't make sense to me...Melrose was love it or hate it show, and seems to bring out intense reactions. But I just wish you non-fans would stop raining on our parade and just let us enjoy the show and Heather's return...
Poor Kim. doesn't realize he posted on the wrong link. Watching evening soap operas can do that to you....
