Sarah Palin book launches Nov. 17; Will Tina Fey bite?
Sarah Palin's time after stepping down from being the governor of Alaska has paid off.The former Republican vice presidential running mate has finished penning her memoir, "Going Rogue: An American Life," and publisher HarperCollins has moved up its release date to Nov. 17, reports the Christian Science Monitor.
Palin, who wrote the 400-page book with ghostwriter Lynn Vincent, hasn't given a hint about what the memoir covers, but she has lots to choose from, ranging from her beauty pageant roots and hunting in Alaska to the high-profile 2008 election and her daughter Bristol's pregnancy.
With this much potential fodder, how could "Saturday Night Live" or Tina Fey
resist? Fey won an Emmy and the title of AP's Entertainer of the Year for her portrayal of Palin on "SNL." After the November election in which John McCain and Palin lost, Fey said she'd retire the impersonation, noting that Kristen Wiig might make a good Palin for the sketch comedy show.Besides Palin's book, "SNL" might want to find an impersonator in the next couple years anyway since the former beauty queen is considered a favorite socially conservative candidate for the 2012 election.
