NBC gets its own Jerry Bruckheimer show
NBC is getting back into the Jerry Bruckheimer business, and hoping that this effort will work better than the last one.The network has given a pilot order to a show from the "CSI" producer about a police unit that tracks down fugitives, the showbiz trades report. Jennifer Johnson, a writer and executive producer on the Bruckheimer-produced "Cold Case," will write the script and exec produce with Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman.
NBC's only previous collaboration with Bruckheimer was an ill-fated one: The 2005 military drama "E-Ring" lasted only 14 episodes. The bulk of Jerry Bruckheimer TV's projects are at CBS -- "The Amazing Race," all three "CSIs" and "Cold Case," plus the new midseason show "Miami Trauma" -- and it also makes TNT's "Dark Blue" and the new ABC series "The Forgotten."
Johnson has also worked on "Lost" and "Reunion."

Your first case is to find "AC Nielsen". He has been missing from NBC's dramas for several years. Last seen with an evil "mastermind" called Zucker. Presumed dead.
A.C. Nielsen escaped from the dastardly Zucker years ago and has been hiding in Columbia (Broadcasting System). NBC agents stopped pursuing him a couple of years ago, on the orders of Zucker's goofy henchman, Silverman.
You know, when you think about it for a moment, these guys' names really do make them sound like cartoon villians.
Sounds like a cool show. I actually remember "E-Ring", and really liked it, but completely forgot about it; talk about a blast from the past.
jerry bruckhiemers shows are all the same
they're all about police procedures and all that boring stuff
but it will probably pull in some much needed ratings for NBC.
i just hope they don't go all CBS on us and keep making more and more police shows that are all the same
