Mickey Mouse shows Disney getting ready for D23
Disney's D23 fan expo begins today in Anaheim, and if you're like us you're as interested in what happens backstage as on the show floors.
Wonder no more. A certain Disney celebrity -- that's Mickey Mouse to you, jack -- is ready and willing to take us behind the scenes of the company's first big Comic-Con-style convention.
Okay, so the video is more what one would expect from a DVD extra, right down to the total lack of sound effects or backing music, but it's still really need to see workers put together the pieces of various exhibits. (We especially want to play with the volcano machine.) Plus, you'll get a sneak peek at costumes from Disney films and what looks to be the original Love Bug.

I wanted to go soooooo bad, maybe next year.
Ummm, Andy Grieser, you're not supposed to actually publish unedited B-roll that a public relations company gives you. And what's even worse is then criticizing them for the video not having "special effects" or "backing music." B-roll is video footage that they give media companies like Zap2It so that you can edit together a field piece about their event. I don't know what's more galling -- that Zap2It would simply just run video that a media conglomerate gives them, or that you have the nerve to critize the outlet that gave you the video when you're supposed to be the one who is editing this video to put it in context.
