'Melrose Place': Heather Locklear will return as Amanda Woodward
Early this year, Heather Locklear passed on the opportunity to reprise her role as the scheming yet successful Amanda Woodward on The CW's new "Melrose Place" reimagining, but it seems she's now changed her mind.The CW just announced that Locklear is set to appear on the freshman series, starting Tuesday, November 17th.
The details of why and how Ms. Woodward will be back are being kept under wraps, though there is some speculation that she could be related to Katie Cassidy's character, Ella. An aunt, perhaps?

Too little too late? Doesn't this reak of repetitiveness? Melrose Place drags in the ratings so in an attempt to 'heat it up' they bring in Locklear. It might have worked the first time, but this time around the audiences have spoken and have firmly rejected 90210 and MP.
Of course you have to wonder why Locklear rejected the offer to begin with since her career had died up and she's had those mental issues. You also have to wonder how she will be able to handle being past her prime in looks and surrounded by all these younger prettier actresses. Keep the Botox syringe filled Heather!!
I'm so excited. The show isnt as bad as people make it out to be. For god sakes look at the first few episodes of the original.

Katie Cassidy is one of my favorite elements of the show. Ella is a great character only enhanced by Katie Cassidy's portrayal. I think it would be fun to see her a Healther Locklear interact with each other.
Unless they devote 50 percent of the storyline to her, it won't be enough to redeem this dud. Watch for another drop in the ratings for tonight's episode.
Ever since they brought back 90210, I've tried to figure out why, and now MP. I think it's because there's a new generation that will watch it. The new generation will not have seen the first run of the shows.
Well this is great news..but greater news would be Laura Leighton's Sydney being alive and not this flashback only character :(
