Megan Mullally will 'Party Down' with Starz
Starz has found a replacement for Jane Lynch in "Party Down" in the form of Emmy winner Megan Mullally.
The former "Will & Grace" star, who starred in ABC's short-lived "In the Motherhood" last season, will play a newly single mother and budding stage parent on the show. "Party Down" begins filming its second season in a couple of weeks and will return to Starz in April.
"I'm so excited to be joining 'Party Down,' one of my favorite TV shows," Mullally says. "I'm a big fan of the series and really thrilled to have an opportunity to work with such a terrific cast and talented group of writers."
Mullally will play a character named Lydia Dunfree, who's fleeing a bad marriage and small-town life with her 13-year-old daughter, would-be actress Escapade. She takes a job with the, ahem, pros at Party Down Catering to help make ends meet while attempting to network for her daughter and find a new man for herself.
She takes over for Lynch, who was a regular on the series last season but whose commitment to FOX's "Glee" prevents her from being a regular on another show.

Great news!
Love her!
She will fit right in -- her style of humor is perfect for this show.
I LOVE MEGAN! I miss her SO MUCH as Karen on WILL & GRACE.
But I don't think I get that channel. :(
This news is strange. The transition from Jane Lynch to Jennifer Coolidge (especially with the story between the characters)was virtually seamless last year and Coolidge was awesome. Mullally isn't as funny as either.
Loved Megan in W&G but she can't replace Jane. Jane Lynch rules!!!
Welcome on Party Down Megan !!
But i miss Jane Lynch.
