lenaheadey_290.jpgLena Headey is moving on from "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" to another show that's likely to have a passionate fan base -- provided it actually gets on the air.

Headey has joined the cast of HBO's fantasy pilot "Game of Thrones," where she'll be playing the role of Cersei Lannister. The Chicago Tribune's Mo Ryan, who broke the news of Headey's casting, describes the character as a royal who's "every bit as smart, cunning and devious as the powerful men around her."

Headey joins a cast that also includes Peter Dinklage, Sean Bean, Jennifer Ehle, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Mark Addy. The pilot is scheduled to film in the fall.

"Game of Thrones" is based on the "Song of Fire and Ice" novels by George R.R. Martin. If HBO does decide to order the pilot to series, it likely wouldn't make it to air until at least late 2010.

love this lovely lady.

Maybe they'll let her use her real accent this time.

Well
An actual "Fantasy" series that will have a cast to match the materials.

Finally Fantasy may be treated with some respect.

Ok Alex, who is crazy enough to dont love this lovely, talented and gorgeus lady?? Even me, miles and miles away from UK and USA, living in Brazil could not avoid to be a fan of her.
