James has signed on to appear as himself in the upcoming comedy "Fantasy Baseball Camp," according to Variety. The story follows five bumbling basketball fans who attend James' Las Vegas fantasy camp and subsequently draw him into their personal problems.

"I initially sought LeBron out because my 8-year-old son, Thomas, and I were just dying to meet him, but I felt that beyond being one of the world's great superstar athletes, here was someone so relaxed and comfortable with himself that he would have the capability to be that way onscreen," producer Brian Grazer told Variety. "Later, when I watched him host 'Saturday Night Live,' and saw his advertising work, it was clear he can do this."

While this is James' first feature role, he will also appear in the documentary "More Than a Game," which focuses on his high-school career.

"More Than a Game" opens in theaters Oct. 2.
