Kathy Griffin, Kate Gosselin feel 'The View' love

Kathy Griffin faced off with the subject of her unflattering spoof, Kate Gosselin, and disappointingly, no catfight ensued, no reverse-mullets were yanked.The comedian was hawking her latest book, the humbly titled "Official Book Club Selection: A Memoir According to Kathy Griffin," on Friday's "The View," the same day Kate Gosselin returned for her third guest co-hosting stint in a week.
We admit, we were hoping for some sort of confrontation, awkwardness, an apology, anything. Instead, they exchanged ... compliments.
"You are fascinating," Griffin told Gosselin. "I've watched your show since Season One. It's a good show."
Later, after watching the clip of Griffin parodying Gosselin, the mom of eight admitted, "I caught myself cracking up out loud. You're awesome."
Also, it seems that Griffin seemed way too busy cracking jokes about her book, Barbara Walters, Whitney Houston and Levi Johnston.

as for kate gosselin, ugh, really do not like her at all but i have to admit she's still 100 times better than that elizabeth hasselback lady!! wish she would stay on permanent leave!
Kathy Griffin reminds me of my P.O.D. (Problems Of Democracy, if you didn't have it) in high school...she was a royal, obnoxious, overbearing pain in the ass, but very funny when it counted the most. Griffin is what Joan Rivers always wanted to be, yet wasn't.
Kate Gosselin is a pimple on the ass of society, apparently in a spot where you just...can't...quite...reach it.
I wonder how long Kate practiced saying "you are awesome".... to Kathy Griffin... You know Kate was ticked over the spoof.. I would be if I was her...I think Kathy was hilarious as Kate..........but if I was Kate i wouldnt think it was funny.

If your are in the public eye you better have a sense of humor about your self. Kate seem to take it with a good sense of humor. It was a riot.

I watch Kathy periodically to pass the time, she doesn't ever make me laugh. She's about as funny as a screen door on a submarine.
