Jessica Biel, Sharlto Copley looking for 'A-Team'
Col. Hannibal Smith's plan is just inches away from coming together.
Jessica Biel and Sharlto Copley are on the verge of signing on for the big-screen adaptation of the 1980s television series, according to Variety. "District 9's" Copley would round out the team as pilot "Howlin' Mad" Murdock, while Biel's role is more confusing.
Variety says the actress will play a former love of Templeton "Faceman" Peck (the team's master of disguise, a role claimed by Bradley Cooper) but also refers to "the general pursuing the team." It's conceivable Biel's role will encompass both.
The "A-Team" television series followed Hannibal Smith and his team of elite commandos as they evade law enforcement and military police, thanks to being blamed for a crime they, of course, did not commit. The soldiers of fortune -- Smith, Peck, Murdock and muscleman B.A. Baracus -- help those who can find them while attempting to clear their own records.
Liam Neeson will portray Smith in the movie, with mixed martial arts fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson in the role of Baracus.
