"Nip/Tuck" star Dylan Walsh, "Being John Malkovich" star John Malkovich and "The Right Stuff's" Scott Glenn have signed on for the story of 1973 Triple Crown winner Secretariat.

The three will join Diane Lane, who previously took the part of Secretariat owner Penny Tweedy, according to the trades. "Nip/Tuck" star Walsh will play Lane's husband, Glenn steps into the part of the horse's previous owner and Malkovich will co-star as Secretariat's trainer.

Aside from his Triple Crown win and other victories, Secretariat was notable for having a female owner (Tweedy) at a time when racing was considered a boys' club. Some of the drama in the film will apparently come from Walsh's character and others reacting negatively to Tweedy's role.

Filming begins later this month in Louisiana and Kentucky.
