DJ AM reportedly had nine OxyContin pills in his body
The investigation into DJ AM's death has uncovered some disturbing news. The DJ, born Adam Goldstein, was found dead Friday with eight OxyContin pills in his stomach and a ninth pill in his mouth, according to People.
The reported evidence makes it appear that his death was deliberate, by his own hand.
"He wanted to die," says the source. "He was going unconscious when he took the last one. He didn't even swallow it."
So far, it's not certain if his death were suicide or accidental.
In other DJ AM news, the entertainer's funeral will be held Thursday, Sept. 3 at the Hollywood Palladium at 7 p.m. According to the invitation, the evening will be formatted "in the style of an open 12-step meeting." A private memorial takes place the day before.
In addition, Goldstein's family posted on his MySpace page that in lieu of sending flowers, fans can make donations to National MS Society, Southern California Chapter or Friendly House in his honor.
