'90210': Most improved series of Fall '09

Okay, so not all of 2009's fall series have premiered yet, but I've already decided "90210" is my pick for most improved.

First of all, it had the longest road to travel and we definitely had our doubts about whether or not the writer-producers would be able to turn things around. Even after the season 2 premiere a couple weeks back, I was questioning whether the show should just call it a day. But based on hours 2 and 3, I'm pleased to say, bravo...

Agreed?

I mean, props to Jessica Stroup (Silver) who is playing heart break quite convincingly, as far as I'm concerned. And kudos to the producers for letting us watch this very simple, but fully relatable storyline actually play out.

Also, nice work with the Annie character. I remember getting a glimpse of a likable Annie at the end of last season when we saw her tell Liam what a d-bag she thought he was, stringing Naomi along and being so elusive. It was a strong moment for the young Ms. Wilson and though her mission was not quite as pure last night, it was still great to watch her finally put her foot down and put the conniving, bullying Naomi in her place, no?

Plus, I'm enjoying the incorporation of L.A. into so many scenes. Love seeing the boys at the beach, the whole crew on Teddy's yacht yesterday. And, speaking of Teddy, his calm, chill demeanor definitely has the character growing on me... slowly but surely.

So, yeah, really nice work, "90210."

I like what you're doin'... I really do.

1000% agree with you. I was pissed with 90210 last year because it underwhelmed, but I can honestly say it is GREAT this year. Love how Teddy was incorporated into the guys' circle, and their friendships actually make sense this season!

I love everything about it, but my only problem is that I need more Kelly Taylor!

i do love the show but they need to give a bigger part to the old veterans. give them real storylines! bring back more of them!
it wouldn't hurt the ratings for sure.

oh, and crossover with melrose already!

Whoot!!! Totally loved this little video, even if I still can't get into 90210. Hope to see more little Korbi vignettes. Maybe clean your room next time though? ; )

However, Melrose Place is totally hooking me and I wanted to hate it.

Please, it is totally out of character for Liam to join the Surf team. I get that maybe he's forced to join a team sport, but surfing?? And he made the team after never doing it? Plus, why would Dixon want to be his friend if he believes Liam slept with sister?! And its not realistic for him to be in love with Naomi. No one could ever like her, she is the worst. I just hope Annie gets redemption....

liam actually said he surfed a little back in new york and liam told dixon he didnt sleep with her

Korbi, darling -- CLEAN YOUR ROOM!

Completely disagree! The show is just as disappointing as last year.

I still can't get invested in the characters or the plot. There is no character or couple I love and want to root for. And it continues to dishonor the original (the Casablanca thing was totally stolen from Dylan and Kelly in season 3).

I don't see what there is to like.

how has nobody yet made a big deal of the fact that teddy is 31 YEARS OLD? i mean... that's even 5 years skeezier than ben mckenzie on the oc.

Dear Korbi, experimenting with the style for your videos is OK. As long as we agree, that this attempt didn't work. Like "Do not Disturb"-style. Keep your private space as you like it - messy or neat -, but don't shoot videos there, that shall pay your rent. And a big NO on the handheld camera, too. It doesen't look hip/cool/edgy, it just looks stupid. And after reading your blog reguarly for a couple month I'm very sure that's not what you are!

hahahahhahahahahaha... some of you like it, some of you hate it... will continue to experiment with the videos, but jury's still out on whether or not i'm gonna clean my room. i'm REAAALLLLLLY busy :)
